Alan Amici serves as the President and CEO of the Center for Automotive Research (CAR). With over 35 years of experience at Chrysler and TE Connectivity, Alan has held diverse leadership roles spanning engineering, manufacturing, and service. At TE Connectivity, he served as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Transportation Solutions, as well as Vice President of Engineering for Automotive Americas. During his time at Chrysler, he led key initiatives as Head of Global Uconnect – Infotainment and Connected Car Platform, Head of Electrical/Electronics Engineering (in both Torino, Italy, and Auburn Hills, Michigan), and Senior Manager of Global Service & Parts in Stuttgart, Germany.
Alan holds two patents and is a recipient of the prestigious Walter P. Chrysler Technology Award. He earned his MBA, a Master of Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Michigan. Additionally, Alan is a graduate of the Chrysler Institute of Engineering and actively contributes to academia, serving on the Board of Advisors at Penn State Harrisburg and the Department of Industrial Engineering at Wayne State University
