Denise Rice, President & Owner of Peak Performance, recently graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program through partner college and national leader in entrepreneurship education, Babson College in Babson Park, Massachusetts. Ms. Rice completed the 12 week program which included two week-long site visits to the college campus and graduated on November 17, 2018.
Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is an investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services. To date, more than 7,300 business owners have graduated from the program across all 50 states in the US, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C.
Ms. Rice states that, “what I enjoyed most about the program was the fact that all courses and content was immediately applicable to my business. Being able to work on our business plan as part of the assignments was invaluable. Additionally, being able to work with other entrepreneurs provided an opportunity to receive expert advice from other business professionals.”
During the 12 week program, participants of the program were given access to instructors from all over the country, all of them having real world experience running a business. Ms. Rice continues, “Peak Performance is putting its growth opportunity into action through a lot of the tools and processes we were given to use to manage our business in this program.”
Although the program has ended, Denise’s network of support continues. Denise received a one-on-one business advisor who she regularly keeps in contact with and students keep in touch via a monthly webinar to support and mentor each other.
