The Smart Factory Institute is proud to announce the development of an Industrial Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Program specifically designed to upskill incumbent workers in the manufacturing sector. The program is set to begin in the fall and aims to enhance the capabilities of current employees and will provide a comprehensive blend of classroom instruction and practical training. "Our program is tailored for those already in the workforce who are eager to enhance their skills and advance their careers," said Skylar Randolph, Director of Business Development. "By focusing on incumbent workers, we are not only investing in individual careers but also strengthening the overall workforce within our manufacturing community."
What is an Industrial Maintenance Technician? Industrial Maintenance technicians use their expertise in electrical systems, mechanical processes, and automation technologies. They are problem-solvers, capable of maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex machinery in production environments.
Program Overview:
Diverse Skill Development: Apprentices will train across multiple disciplines, including electrical systems, PLC programming, mechanical repair, and robotics.
Real-World Experience: Participants will gain hands-on training with our innovative Mini EV Production Line and cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technologies.
Industry Recognized Credentials: Upon completion, apprentices will earn certifications and possess the practical expertise sought after by all manufacturers.
Your Opportunity to Get Involved: We’re calling on manufacturers and technology providers to join us in shaping the future of manufacturing. Whether you’re interested in sponsoring, partnering, or enrolling participants, this is your chance to contribute to a transformative workforce initiative. The Smart Factory Institute is holding it's first Talent & Training Advisory Board meeting on Friday February 21st from 11:30 - 1:00pm. Lunch will be provided.
